Canadian psych-indie band have announced a new album- their first since 2016’s A Coliseum Complex Museum. Along with the announcement, the band has shared a new song called “Raindrops.” “This song and video details a psychedelic flight through the mind while deep in an altered state,” the band said in a statement. “The song lyrically references the death of Mark Hollis from Talk Talk (“Garden Of Eden spirited”) and also describes the idea of evolution determining the story of the Garden Of Eden.” - bit.ly

Their first new album since 2016. The band had this to said this about the "Our Heads, Our Hearts on Fire Again"... “This song has been floating around since the Roaring Night era,” the band explains in a statement. “We could never figure out how to finish it. Well, we figured out how to finish it. It has that 3/4 waltz we love so much, the same 3/4 waltz that ‘Disaster’ rested upon. It’s also a bit of a lament about how sad we were when we parted ways with [our former label] Jagjaguwar.” The Last Of The Great Thunderstorm Warnings is out 1/29 on Fat Cat in the US and via Flemish Eye in Canada. www.stereogum.com To see a live performance on KEXP from 2013, go here... www.youtube.com

Montreal band The Besnard Lakes is currently gearing up for the release of it’s extravagantly titled sixth LP, The Besnard Lakes Are The Last of the Great Thunderstorm Warnings. The concept behind the album is equally impressive as well. The record acts as a journey to and from the brink of death, chronicled through a seventy-two minute double LP epic.: www.undertheradarmag.com The Besnard Lakes performed live for KEXP listeners at Breakglass Studios during POP Montreal 2017. : www.youtube.com
