'Bright Green Field' is Brighton band Squid's frantic punk-groove debut album! NME wrote that this song recalls ‘Holy Fire'-era Foals in the precise guitar sounds of their intros, but swiftly morph into parping horns and scraping strings, a helter-skelter adventure with a sinister edge. ‘G.S.K.’ is short for pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline. Ollie Judge said, "That’s exactly what it references, but it’s not a comment on pharmaceutical companies. It’s the building that, basically in the journey from Bristol — where I live — to London, you go over this concrete Brutalist flyover and the first skyscraper building you see is the GSK building. When I was doing that journey once, we were supposed to withdraw from the European Union on that day, and everything seemed very bleak. I looked up during the journey and saw the really monolithic building and thought it was quite depressing." Brighton’s Squid have released their long-awaited debut album! Under the Radar Magazine wrote that this song, "revels in the contradictions between natural and urban imagery, with bright neon bikes standing side by side with hillside mosquito nets on a concrete island." Yupper do. That's what they wrote. squiduk.bandcamp.com
