R.I.P., drummer Bill Rieflin, who died in 2020 after an eight-year battle with cancer. King Crimson's Robert Fripp wrote that "Tracy [Rieflin’s sister] told me that the day was grey, and as Bill flew away the clouds opened, and the skies were blue for about fifteen minutes. Fly well, Brother Bill! My life is immeasurably richer for knowing you.” Here's an obituary of Bill Rieflin: www.billboard.com

Local Seattle legend Bill Rieflin passed away on March 24th, 2020 at the age of 59. The talented multi-instrumentalist had been battling cancer over the past few years. A cornerstone of the Seattle music scene, Bill began his musical career in the '70s in bands The Telepaths and The Blackouts. In the mid-'80s, he and Blackouts bandmate Paul Barker joined the touring band for industrial pioneers Ministry. He performed on the band's breakthrough albums, and his powerhouse prowess is on full display on the live album and concert film In Case 'You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up'. Bill continued his collaboration in the industrial realm with bands like Pigface, KMFDM, and for fellow Wax Trax! Records artist Chris Connelly. kexp.org Just found this interview online where Troy Nelson's comedy group called Black Daisy talks a bit about the story he just shared with meeting Bill Rieflin: kittysneezes.com
