Los Eclipses

As part of KEXP's Aqui y Ahora celebration, here is a set curated by Pahua, the project of Mexican singer, songwriter and DJ Paulina Sotomayor, who also sings lead vocals for Sotomayor. Los Eclipses is a Franco-Mexican duo formed by French singer Eva de Marce and Mexican musician/producer Dan Solo. The frenetic combination of styles between its members creates a sonorous layer full of contrasting nuances: from light to darkness, from melancholy to euphoria, from calmness to party. Dan's experience in production, as well as Eva's enigmatic and charming voice, come together to create a project that has captured a lot of attention from audiences and media in just one year since its creation. In this short time, the project has mainly performed at festivals and clubs in Mexico, sharing the stage with artists such as Royksopp, La Femme, Polo & Pan, Whitest Boy Alive, and Moodymann.
