Debut album from Nigerian-American singer-songwriter, soundscaper and dancer, Kingsley Ibeneche! __ "The goal at the end of the song is to ascend, float, release, breath after getting it off your chest. What You Want is a question squeezed of its artificial nature, carved from the excess wood, and the remains are 3 simple words, that in the end will give you the truth." __ kingsleyibeneche.bandcamp.com

Nigerian-American artist Kingsley Ibeneche truly opens his heart on his debut album 'Udo', which was released in September. He described the album as an "emotional experience of an empathic person who stays bound to their kin sometimes to the detriment of themselves, but who refuses to give up the quest for elation, personal peace and self-actualization in the process." Udo—the Igbo word for peace upon the village—is an archive of reckoning with the concept of peace itself, as it relates practically to belonging and community. Back in September, Gabriel chose "Asked For Light" as a KEXP Song of the Day - download it now! www.kexp.org kingsleyibeneche.bandcamp.com
