In his second album, the Cleveland-born, Juilliard-trained drummer/composer Jerome Jennings explores resistance and resilience through the prisms of Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, and LGBTQ rights. There are musical homages to activists and freedom fighters such as Audra Lorde, Marsha P. Johnson, Marielle Franco, Recy Taylor and more in this deeply affecting evening of new jazz.
