7:19 AMBy request - thanks! Did you see the Australian documentary "Mystify" about Michael Hutchence last night? Apprently, it only played for 1 night across the U.S. - maybe it will get a wider release at some point? - Oct 17, 2019
6:52 AMKEXP Rule Book page 392, subsection III, when playing "Need You Tonight," always include "Mediate" as God intended. - Aug 27, 2019
6:58 AMAndrew Farriss had the idea for the riff for "Need You Tonight" while waiting for a taxi to take him to the airport. He asked the taxi driver to wait for a couple of minutes as he'd left something behind in the motel. He kept the driver waiting for an hour while he recorded the riff and eventually returned to a very frustrated driver with a tape. - Jul 26, 2019
8:30 AMIn INXS's official autobiography, "INXS: Story to Story," Andrew Farriss said that the famous riff to the song appeared suddenly in his head while waiting for a cab to go to the airport to fly to Hong Kong. He asked the cab driver to wait a couple of minutes while he grabbed something from his motel room. In fact, he went up to record the riff and came back down an hour later with a tape to a very annoyed driver. - May 24, 2019
8:51 AMWe're pretty sure that Bob Dylan didn't write this song. INXS' Andrew Farriss had the idea for the riff for this song while waiting for a taxi to take him to the airport. He asked the taxi driver to wait for a couple of minutes as he'd left something behind in the motel. He kept the unfortunate taxi driver waiting for an hour while he quickly recorded the riff and eventually returned to a very frustrated driver with a tape.
