    Dakar/Montreal. Elage Diouf is a Senegalese born singer and songwriter, now making Montreal his home. He tends to sing in his native language, Wolof. He is also influenced by Aṣíkò, a fascinating genre of West African music that resembles Sakara of Nigeria. It emerged as a Christian counterpart to the Yoruban music and dance traditions in the 1920s.

    Daakar. Singer, percussionist, and songwriter. Senegalese by birth, now living in Montreal, Quebec. His original ensemble, The Diouf Brothers, came to Quebec for a 2 month stint of performances…however, the area had such an impression on them that they settled there permanently. Branched out as a solo artist in the mid-2000s.

    Senegalese-born Élage Diouf taught himself music by playing percussion instruments in the streets as a child. Now a resident of Quebec, he has written music for Cirque du Soleil, released two solo albums, and regularly collaborates with his brother Pape Abdou Karim Diouf.
