Music Moves Europe Award Winner! Dublin band Inhaler won the overall Music Moves Europe Awards prize in 2019 and the prize has previously been won by Stromae, Adele, Mumford & Sons, Dua Lipa, Rosalía, Meduza, Lous and the Yakuza. bit.ly Kevin selected the Zambian-Irish rapper from County Clare as a standout from the 2021 Eurosonic Festival as well as a Bandcamp Friday pick back in February! daily.bandcamp.com “On this song, Black Irish rapper Denise Chaila raps about people mispronouncing her name—a kind of microaggression she is sadly all too familiar with. She has been outspoken about Ireland’s racism and oppression—both in her songs and her interviews. Her eloquence on racism has been met with backlash from the far right—but it hasn’t stopped her from making music that matters.” denisechaila.bandcamp.com

**2021 EUROSONIC ARTIST ALERT*** In her breakthrough track Copper Bullet, Denise Chaila succinctly described the thriving hip-hop scene in Ireland. The fact that Chaila was able to convey the sentiment of a nation in one perfect line displays both the depth and skill of the Irish MC. It perhaps partially explains why, following the release of her debut EP Denise has become one of the most in-demand MCs in Ireland and beyond. denisechaila.bandcamp.com
