Amanda Black

South African singer Amanda Black was among more than 1000 artists scheduled to perform at this year's SXSW festival. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the need for social distancing, events and festivals across the country have either been cancelled or postponed. This has put an enormous strain on touring artists, who make a large majority of their income from performing shows. KEXP will be featuring artists who were scheduled to play the festival as a means of drawing attention to the financial issues facing all independent artists right now.
