Dear Evie, My name is Andrea, and I am a proud amplifier in Chicago. I have always been a devoted music lover but my love of sound grew even deeper when I became blind five years ago. Having a visual disability can be an isolating experience. Feeling alone is something we have all gotten intimate with since March of 2020 when all of our worlds changed. I power KEXP because of the amazing and diverse music playing night and day. Just as important to me though is being able to turn KEXP on and know without a doubt that I will hear compassion, humor and love from any one of the incredible KEXP DJs.
