Debora Umbelino grew up in a small rural town in Portugal, then moved to the Netherlands to study double bass and singing. Much of her musical influence comes from her parent's music collection, which included artists such as PJ Harvey, Alice Coltrane, Bjork, traditional Portugese Music, and St Vincent.
