Pinball Number Count (or Pinball Countdown) is a collective title referring to 11 one-minute animated segments on the children's television series Sesame Street that teach children to count to 12 by following the journey of a pinball through a fanciful pinball machine. The first two measures are in a slowed down 7/8, with subsequent time signatures the likes of 11/8 and 3/8 giving the track an improvisational jazz feel. It also features a number of solos – soprano saxophone, electric guitar and even Caribbean kettledrum. -- Here's the video in all its '70s pinball glory: youtu.be

New Parisalexa! Of Menace, Parisalexa writes: "Writing this song helped heal a deep wound and now I’ve released it into the world. I hope it encourages you to speak your truth, despite the fear, despite the shame, despite the embarrassment. You are loved and anything you’ve ever gone thru you survived." www.instagram.com parisalexa.bandcamp.com

Killer Afro-Boogie music from Nigeria!! Superb Nigerian boogie/funk/disco album produced by the great Jake Sollo in the early 80s. Recorded and produced in England but a Nigerian only release -- with great vocal performances from the Galaxy girls. Definitely one of the best Jake Sollo productions and one of the best boogie records out of Nigeria. cinedelic.bandcamp.com www.discogs.com
