Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. CéU employs a large cast of singers and musicians. It was produced by Hervé Salters (General Elektriks) and Pupillo (drummer for Brazilian band Naçao Zumbi) using vintage synthezisers and keyboards as well as standard pop instrumentation. The artist wrote all but one song on the set, a cover of "Chico Buarque Song," by the obscure group Fellini.

New York-based band Firewater is a loosely knit ensemble centered around the lead vocals of ex-Cop Shoot Cop bass player Tod A. (born: Tod Ashley). Tod A. went on an extended trek through Thailand, India, Pakistan, Turkey ,and Indonesia. He recorded music on his travels, collaborating with producer Tamir Muskat and local musicians along the way. The band started as Blue Velvet in 1959. The group gave star billing to John's older brother when he came aboard as lead vocalist and guitarist. The name changed again in 1968 when the group came up with Creedence Clearwater Revival, and their debut album (which included new versions of both "Porterville" and "Walking on the Water". While Tommy Fogerty co-wrote and sang many of the Golliwogs' early singles, as time passed his brother John became more of a presence in the group, taking a larger role in the recording process and even producing their final sessions.
