Mose Allison passed away yesterday at age 89 of natural causes. He was an influential blues and jazz pianist...his songs were covered by a wide array of very famous artists.
The Who based their world-beating anthem “My Generation” partly on Mose Allison's “Young Man Blues,” which the band also featured as the opening track on its 1970 album, “Live at Leeds.” "Young Mans Blues' was a staple of The Who's live shows.
