'Morningside' is the debut album of New Zealand-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Fazerdaze (Amelia Murray). Murray is known for creating music that blends dreamy pop elements with grungy shoegaze influences. Mitski recorded Laurel Hell with her longtime producer Patrick Hyland throughout the isolation of a global pandemic, during which some of the songs “slowly took on new forms and meanings, like seed to flower.” Sometimes it’s hard to see the change when you’re the agent of it, but for the lucky rest of us, Mitski has written a soundtrack for transformation, a map to the place where vulnerability and resilience, sorrow and delight, error and transcendence can all sit within our humanity, can all be seen as worthy of acknowledgment, and ultimately, love. The supergroup featuring the Max Levine Ensemble’s David “Spoonboy” Combs, Katie Park of Hemlines, Daoud Tyler-Ameen of Art Sorority for Girls and Emma Cleveland of Bad Moves released "Cool Generator" in 2018. Half the band have volunteered at rock music youth coaching programs. Combs volunteered for a few summers at Queer Rock Camp in Olympia, Washington, and Park has been a band coach and worked with Girls Rock! DC. The band has a lot to say about the lyrical content of this song: "We’ve often introduced this song as being about how the art and fashion produced by marginalized people, people of color and queer people specifically, are the source material most often appropriated by the mainstream entertainment industry. The Mermen originated in San Francisco in 1989. They have since moved to Santa Cruz, California. The group's sound was originally rooted in surf and psychedelic rock music of the 1960s, although they have made "sincere attempts to get away from the surf music label" and currently delve into many genres, mainly driven by the melodic visions of the band's founder, songwriter, and guitarist Jim Thomas.

According to interviews, the inspiration of the song came when a fire broke loose in Robert Smith's home. After that day, Smith was going through the remains and came across his wallet which had pictures of his wife, Mary. The cover of the single is one of the pictures. The same picture was used as the cover of the "Charlotte Sometimes" single, but that image was heavily warped and distorted. M83's newest full-length album, FANTASY is out now! For Anthony Gonzalez, Fantasy‘s direction and aesthetic was immediately clear. “I wanted this record to be very impactful live,” he says. “The idea was to come back with something closer to the energy of Before The Dawn Heals Us. Yeasayer's sophomore album received tons of critical acclaim and had tracks featured in plenty of TV shows (including "90210" and "America's Top Model") as well as 2012's cult classic movie "Pitch Perfect". Jurassic 5's first official release! Many of the tracks featured on this self-titled EP appeared on their self-titled full-length album which was released the following year. The Walkmen is an indie rock band, active from 2000 to 2013, and known as part of the 2000s-era post-punk revival in New York City, particularly for their critically acclaimed single "The Rat." Rahill Jamalifard, co-founder of Brooklyn garage rock group Habibi, makes softly psychedelic pop on her own. Her first release as simply Rahill, a four-song EP of covers titled Sun Songs, appeared in 2022. Rahill Jamalifard is a multi-disciplinary artist working within numerous overlapping musico-poetic traditions. Her creative practice includes songwriting, as well as portraiture, DJing (both radio and live), and a more private pursuit of literature.
