Not recorded on Moon Unit 7.
If you are wondering why this album has an even spacier vibe than previous Beach House releases, maybe's it's because they collaborated with Peter Kember, aka Sonic Boom of Spaceman 3 fame. Or maybe because it was recorded on Moon Unit 7 in the Remular Sector.

In an interview with The Fader, singer/songwriter Ellie Rowsell stated that she wanted to write a love song, but was "not going to hold back and make it discreet. I wanted to make it really obvious what I'm talking about. I was going to keep it sad, in the vein of the first couple of verses, and then I was like Nah, it's too depressing to have a love story that doesn't work out. I'm gonna Hollywood it, and make it happy."
Toward the end of the song, Withers holds a note for 18 seconds. Speaking of lovely days. It will be partly cloudy with a high of 53 today.
They will be at Neumos December 12th. Also, to steal a joke from drummer Martin Atkins (P.I.L./Pigface/Killing Joke) "Wake up, today's not going to spill coffee down it's pants by itself." Follow him at @marteeeen

The title track was recorded on the band's second attempt. James explained to UK newspaper The Sun that the song is about the circular nature of life. Originally conceived as a Muppets song for Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the song was to be performed by My Morning Jacket live with the Muppets on stage with the band behind a curtain, playing live.

The song samples the theme music for the 1984 film The Toxic Avenger, as adapted from Rimsky-Korsakov's arrangement of Mussorgsky's A Night on Bald Mountain. The sound effect sample originates from the sound the Resonator makes in the 1986 film From Beyond. Elements of Les Baxter's rendition of Prelude in C# Minor as composed by Rachmaninoff are also used during the verses, and the song also contains elements of the Jazz Crusaders album Powerhouse. Throughout the song, a heavily vocoded voice repeats, "Intergalactic, planetary, planetary, intergalactic; another dimension, another dimension." The closing "Do it!" is sampled from the 1971 Stovall Sisters song "Hang on in There"
