Even though each has over 100 songs on it at this point, I still discover stuff from the 90s I've forgotten or never even heard before because of KEXP. One of the bands you introduced me to is Olive. I was pretty into trip hip back in the late 90s (and still am), but somehow wasn't aware of them. So, with all that said, I wanted to request 'Killing' by Olive. HAPPY RETIREMENT Hal! We're grateful to have listeners like you <3 "Hey Evie! I was introduced to a little radio station (KCMU) in probably 1983 when I moved up here from Texas for my residency in Pediatrics at Seattle Children’s Hospital (known as Children’s Orthopedic Hospital back then). It was a Saturday morning and I remember hearing reggae like I had ever heard before. I am not sure when I became an amplifier but it has been a long time. "I have requested this song so often that I finally mailed you all a copy of the CD several years back. As far as I know it has been not been played but could have missed it as I cannot listen nearly as much as I would like. That is going to change in 2-1/2 weeks, as I am about to retire! "I know you can’t play everything that listeners request, but if you can play “We Used to Know” by Jethro Tull, I would appreciate it. It starts off kinda singer/songwriter acoustic, then turns into a blistering guitar solo with an awesome “wah-wah” effect that makes it one of my favorite songs, and definitely one of my favorite guitar solos.
