Taking his stage name in reference to house pioneer Todd Terry, his influences and continued influence is firmly rooted in dance music’s past and present. Under the name Melody's Echo Chamber, French musician Melody Prochet crafts sweet and swirling psych pop that brings in elements of prog and folk, while casting out bewitching melodies as well. She holds her own on collaborations with musicians from (on 2012's self-titled album) and (on 2018's Bon Voyage), never losing her unique voice to the sounds they surround her with. Prochet worked in various bands before starting Melody's Echo Chamber in 2012 after having a dream that the acoustics of her bedroom projected an infinite delay. No stranger to performance, Prochet had already worked with the twee pop and the dreamy , a project she was very much central to. When supported Australian guitar rockers on a European tour in 2010, Prochet bonded with Kevin Parker, who offered to help with production of her new solo material as Melody's Echo Chamber. The two worked quickly, with some elements of the project's lushly dreamy songs recorded in Parker's makeshift studio and some laid down in her grandmother's seaside home in the South of France. The self-titled album was released on in the fall of 2012, and Prochet assembled a live band to fill out her solo songs as plans for tours and live performances started accumulating. She began working on a second album with Parker, but things stalled out after a couple years of recording. Prochet moved to Sweden, and along the way met up with 's and 's . The trio, along with 's Gustav Ejstes and Johan Holmegard, crafted a free-flowing mix of prog, psych, and pop that had a much looser and surprising feel than her debut. They finished the album and a song was released in April of 2017, but then Prochet suffered a major injury that halted the record's planned release to allow her time to heal. "Short Circuit" is the twelfth track from Daft Punk's second studio album, Discovery. It is probably one of the earliest tracks created for Discovery, as a beta version of the song was played before performances of "Da Funk" at some Daftendirektour appearances. It can be heard at the very beginning of the 45-minute recording of "Alive 1997", the only official release of the Daftendirektour.

Sylvan Esso is a collaboration between the now-married couple comprised of vocalist Amelia Meath and electronic musician Nick Sanborn. Meath’s powerful voice is front and center, unjoined by fellow harmonizers as it is in her folk group, Mountain Man. A Hero's Death is the second studio album by Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C.. The album was released on 31 July 2020 through Partisan Records, less than 18 months after the release of their debut album Dogrel. Grian Chatten: “To me the idea of a hero’s life is someone who pursues their morals and ideas right until the end.” Fontaines D.C. have spoken out for the first time on their surprise Grammy nod, likening the landmark moment to receiving “a phone call from space”. The Dublin post-punk heroes secured a Best Rock Album nomination for ‘A Hero’s Death‘ – which received a four-star review from NME earlier this year — during the nominations announcement for the 2021 Grammys earlier this week (November 24) . While they face tough competition from The Strokes, Michael Kiwanuka, Sturgill Simpson and Grace Potter, Fontaines D.C. say they are still trying to take the news in — telling NME that their nomination is just a “mad thing”.
