"30 artists from 11 countries deliver 27 tracks for the endless summer of your dreams. Clocking in at just under two hours, the melodies have been soundtracking our weekly night drives between our studio in the desert & our offices in Los Angeles. The rhythms have been working their magic as secret weapons on the dancefloor in our DJ sets."

In 1995, Duran Duran covered this song (for their album of covers, "Thank You") and included performances from Grandmaster Flash and Melle Mel

The latest solo track from the Supergrass front-man -- written about a semi-fictional British boxer drafted into war while at the top of their sport in post-World War 2 Britain
"“I came across the story of ‘forgotten’ British world championship boxer, Randy Turpin who, in his heyday, fought and defeated the great Sugar Ray Robinson. That was some life, incredibly tough beginnings, success, fame, crime, apparent dealings with the mob and a tragic end. A fascinating rise and fall story."

Getting Sunday back on track for Nick in Minneapolis!
"When I heard it start playing, I pumped my fist like Judd Nelson at the end of The Breakfast Club! We’re singing along now! Thank you Evie!"
Keith Forsey and Steve Schiff wrote this song specifically for "The Breakfast Club." Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music was their first choice to record it, this song, but Ferry turned it down. Forsey was also a big fan of Simple Mind who were persuaded to play after they saw a screening of the film with John Hughes.
“‘Look To Him’ explores the idea of originality and the notion of tapping into source energy for creativity and inspiration rather than just searching for it amongst your peers and surroundings,” Greentea Peng said of the new song in a statement. "I lived with my godmother and mother in New Zealand until I was seven. They were both Jungian psychologists and had a homeless shelter for street gang members in New Zealand. I saw a lot of drugs and strange things when I was younger, but I also think it was a positive experience because I was surrounded by these really interesting, beautiful people that were trying to get their lives back on track." bit.ly

Khruangbin described the follow-up EP to 2020's "Texas Sun": Without joy, there can be no real perspective on sorrow. Without sunlight, all this rain keeps things from growing. How can you have the sun without the moon?"
The band's Laura Lee added: "It's like a short story. And it leaves room to continue having these stories together. It's not Khruangbin, it's not Leon, it's this world we created together."

From Albumism's 30th anniversary retrospective -- 'The beauty of the album is that 30 years after its release it still feels modern and as a whole entity offers the listener a cauldron of emotions that strike at the core of all of our existence. There is a subtle power at work here. A rawness and honesty that draws you in... Depeche Mode stepped up their level of artistry—thanks in no short measure to the increasing influence of Alan Wilder—and reached for something more.' tinyurl.com

First Aid Kit says of the new single, "We wrote this song last year together with songwriter and producer Björn Yttling. It was the first time we wrote for First Aid Kit with someone else and it was very inspiring. The song was written in the spur of the moment, almost like a stream of consciousness. It's about feeling stuck inside your own thoughts and desperately wanting to escape."
