On “Noid,” Tumor’s lyrics grapple with police brutality, especially the effect it has on people who may not have been targeted directly, but watch their communities suffer from it daily. The Andreas Browning-directed clip captures Tumor as he walks through the streets of Los Angeles, cutting to shots of surveillance cameras, cop cars and, most harrowing, a sequence in which Tumor struggles against two heavily-armed and -armored cops.

“When we were about to shoot the ‘Fast N All’ video someone called me a narcissist and it made me have a panic attack,” band leader Aramis Johnson said in a statement. “Once I calmed down I wrote ‘2002’ kinda trying to be sarcastic about how I wake up everyday and try to be the worst possible human. Then when I talked to John the director, I wanted to communicate in the video a chaotic feel and how I wanted to take that narcissist perspective and put it into the spirit of the visual and song.”

This band’s anonymous members claim to hail from the remote and cursed village of Korpilombo in northern Sweden, where inhabitants had for centuries been devoted to a form of voodoo introduced by a travelling witch doctor. The video for this track was inspired by a long-simmering conflict in the small city of Gävle, northern Sweden, over a 40-foot-tall effigy of a goat that gets erected from straw every Advent -- and normally gets mysteriously destroyed each year. "White Feather," off the Peyote Ugly EP is an example of DIY production gone right. It's a well-written track full of 70s crunch guitar chords using oscillating filters, synthesizers parading megalithic melodies, and moving bass synchronizing with a consistent drum groove.
The song fades in to an expansive, repetitious soundscape with unison bass and synth lines. There's a spacey background with ethereal noise over percussive drums. Then guitar breaks the daze with a crunchy hook, joined in by synth. Lyrics sift through the dream state, like "I got cold feet," and "I have a retroactive mind." We hear that lyric later on in the song, which only enhances its meaning.

Melody Prochet, French musician also known as Melody’s Echo Chamber, has just released her third single, which she describes as “more of a poem to life”, ahead of the release of her forthcoming new album Emotional Eternal. The song is her tribute to motherhood which she wrote after having to leave her newborn for a night a year after giving birth.
This song features cerebral lyrics from Miho Hatori, a member of the Trip Hop group Cibo Matto and the original vocalist for Noodle from the Gorillaz, peppered throughout the song. In between these lyrical passages, we get some contributions from Beastie Boy’s Mike D.
