The Blind Boys of Alabama sing mainly spiritually uplifting songs, as well as giving encouragement to those with disabilities. Blind group member Ricky McKinnie said "Our disability doesn't have to be a handicap. It's not about what you can't do. It's about what you do. And what we do is sing good gospel music."

Destin Choice Route (aka J.I.D), is rapper and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. He is part of the musical collective Spillage Village.... Growing up, J.I.D's first connection with music was through his parents' collection of classic funk and soul LPs. He names Sly and the Family Stone, D'Angelo, Wu-Tang Clan, Little Dragon, boom-bap, New York hip hop (i.e. Nas, Jay-Z) and Arctic Monkeys as his biggest influences.

The album's title is from the philosophical novel "Sophie's World" by Jostein Gaarder, the context being: "Only philosophers embark on this perilous expedition to the outermost reaches of language and existence. Some of them fall off, but others cling on desperately and yell at the people nestling deep in the snug softness, stuffing themselves with delicious food and drink. 'Ladies and Gentlemen,' they yell, 'we are floating in space!' But none of the people down there care."

This release was formally only available as 7" vinyl for Record Store Day in 2018. Now available digitally, and we're happy about it :)

Nick Cave's 1985 release "Tupelo" uses biblical imagery to describe the birth of Elvis Presley during a heavy storm in Tupelo, Mississippi.

"Cloudbusting" is about the very close relationship between psychologist and philosopher Wilhelm Reich and his young son, Peter, told from the point of view of the mature Peter. It describes the boy's memories of his life with Reich on their family farm, called Orgonon where the two spent time "cloudbusting", a rain-making process which involved using a machine designed and built by Reich - a machine called a cloudbuster - to point at the sky. The song was inspired by Peter Reich's 1973 memoir, 'A Book of Dreams'.
