New song from Kele Okereke, of Bloc Party fame. This is the third single from Kele's upcoming solo album ‘The Flames Pt. 2’, releasing March 24th.
Lead Singer Michael Hutchence and keyboard player Andrew Farriss created this song in 1982 while recording their third album, 'Shabooh Shoobah'. An Australian reviewer writes, "Don't Change was INXS's first single to be released internationally. There's another way to look at it: this was the last time INXS could really be called "ours" ... what makes the song so powerful? For my money, it's down to two things: that wafty keyboard riff from Andrew Farriss and the vocal harmonies from Kirk Pengilly." www.theguardian.com

From the Wiseguys debut album, 'Executive Suite' - the British group originally comprised of Touché and Regal were active until 2001, releasing breakbeat and triphop on the Wall of Sound label.
The Arcs' new album is "A heavenly neo-psychedelic roots odyssey, infused with soul fire, dusty grooves & storming rock, featuring a top-shelf crew of studio luminaries (including the late Richard Swift). Produced by Dan Auerbach & Leon Michels." www.thearcs.com
KEXP's Emily Fox spoke with Leon Michels about how the album was recorded while Richard Swift was alive and how “the process of finishing the record helped me and Dan [Auerbach] grieve his death” for Sound & Vision:

Brand new DJ Spinna Remix of this Roberta Flack classic. The new version cut by the NYC DJ/producer is in honor of the pioneering song's 50th anniversary and Atlantic's 75th.
The Presidents of the United States of America was an American grunge power trio band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1993. DJ Marco was involved in breaking the band!
Frontman Chris Ballew told the story behind this song. "I overheard a homeless man who was walking by the bus stop where I was waiting for a bus," he said. "He was saying it under his breath over and over again: 'I'm moving to the country, I'm gonna eat a lot of peaches.' And I thought, 'That's interesting. I've never heard a homeless guy talk about his future and peaches and the country like that.'
From the self-titled debut studio album by The Presidents of the United States of America, released on March 10, 1995 via PopLlama Records. Columbia Records signed the band shortly after its release to handle increased distribution for the album.

Composed by D'Angelo and hip hop producer DJ Premier of Gang Starr, "Devil's Pie" was initially released as a promotional single for his second album. J Dilla also contributed significantly to 'Voodoo''s overall sound, specifically the rhythm and percussion. "Devil's Pie" is a sparse funk diatribe on the excess of money and materialism in hip hop, with a minor reference to Five Percenter philosophy (“85 are dumb and blind/A third of people compromise.”)
New music! Released this year on Valentine's Day. The duo is from Chicago, based in NYC.

"We wanted to come back with something modern-sounding," explains Tracey Thorn of the first new track from Everything But the Girl in some 24 years. And, while "Nothing Left to Lose" is indebted to a strain of dance music that partly defined 1999's Temperamental, it feels of the moment, eschewing retro garage-house ebullience for gloomier emotions.
It's also hard to pin down in the midst of U.K. garage's revitalization; it's headier than PinkPantheress and the artists following her lead, darker than those in the Shall Not Fade camp, and more pop-minded than U.K. bass acts like Overmono. As always, Everything But the Girl is attuned but inimitable. n.pr
After the departure of their vocalist Shara Nelson, the Massive Attack trio concluded they could never replace her, so they chose to bring a new diversity to their sound with a selection of rotating guest vocalists.
For their sophomore album's title track and lead single they recruited Everything but the Girl's Tracey Thorn, who penned the haunting love song's lyrics. Tracy Thorn had competing feelings after she received the tape of this song's backing track.
The first single from Lana Del Ray's upcoming album featuring collabs from Jon Batiste, Father John Misty, Judah Smith, SYML, Tommy Genesis, and Jack Antonoff.

Copper Blue is the debut album by Sugar, led by Bob Mould, released in 1992. During the 1980s, Bob Mould was the guitarist and a lead vocalist of the rock band Hüsker Dü. Initially rooted in hardcore punk, Hüsker Dü eventually developed a sound based around alternative rock, with an emphasis on melody. When Hüsker Dü disbanded in 1987, Mould continued as a solo artist, and released two albums in 1989 and 1991.

Breed was originally written in 1989 and later included on Nirvana's pivotal Nevermind. The song was performed for the last time live at Nirvana's final concert, at Terminal Einz in Munich, Germany on March 1, 1994, about a month before Cobain's death.
This track was written by Scottish band The Vaselines about the Scottish actress Molly Weir, who played Hazel The McWitch in late '70s/early '80s BBC children's show 'Rentaghost'.
Nirvana included this on their 1992 compilation album Incesticide - full of covers, b-sides, other deep cuts and alternate takes.
Another cut from Nirvana's Incesticide. A "New Wave" version of Polly, which originally appeared on 1991's Nevermind.
Originally known as ‘Perky or Punky New Wave Number’, this is a song about masculinity, likening the modern man to an ape. The song's drums were recorded in a nearby kitchen, with producer Steve Albini surrounding Dave Grohl’s kit with over 30 microphones.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT!
