"I'm not sure if you've played Linda Ronstadt's "Long Long Time" since yesterday, but I just watched The Last of Us episode 3 last night and it was the perfect song for a perfect episode. If you can fit it in, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Pete in Raleigh"

New psych-rock (?!) album from Lil Yachty
Lil Yachty co-produced the entire album, and the project features a list of heavy hitter guest producers including Justin Raisen, Sad Pony, Patrick Wimberly, Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Jacob Portrait, Nick Hakim, Magdalena Bay, and Jam City -- uproxx.com
This song is about an older man speaking to a baby, telling it to breathe. The old man then describes the unfortunate working life the baby will have to face: "Run, rabbit, run. Dig that hole, forget the sun." The song implies that we need to overcome these messages and do what inspires us. bit.ly
The instrumental track "On the Run" follows "Breathe" on 'The Dark Side of the Moon'.
This song deals with the pressures of travel, which Rick Wright said would often bring fear of death.
At approximately 25 seconds into the piece, the sound of a voice on a loudspeaker can be heard. Some think it to be an "airport voice" calling notices to travelers.
The keyboard which can be heard throughout the song is only 5 notes being repeated at a high speed.

Prince's Parade was both the zenith and basically the end of his tight musical bond with Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman. "Mountains" saw the debut of both guitarist Miko Weaver and trumpeter Matthew Blistan, who the increasingly restless Prince dubbed Atlanta Bliss. Prince did his final show with Melvoin and Coleman in Japan on Sept. 9, 1986, an appearance that ended with Prince furiously smashing his guitar. "If we had been looking, there were probably signs," Melvoin said. "But maybe the signs were there and we just didn't want to see them.": diffuser.fm

"'Good Life' is a song that's going to touch people forever, it's gonna inspire people, change their mood when they need it, it's definitely going to make them dance — whether the original or a remix. It's that kind of song. It wasn't the intent to make a record to be a hit, it was the intent to make a record that could be played in the clubs that had a melody, which reminded me of when I used to go to hear Larry Levan play Evelyn 'Champagne' King or Chaka Khan. There were some great dance records — disco records — and it was my interpretation at the time."

1992 alternative hit from Suzanne Vega!
Vega said that the clanging percussion in this song was meant to recreate the sounds the "blood makes" in someone's head when someone's afraid, when their life is threatened, when they are provoked.: tinyurl.com

Says frontman James Bagshaw about this new single, "In the verse lyrics we’re talking about the grandness of nature, and then the chorus flips that on its head, it sounds like a rejoiceful summer tune about soaking up the rays, but the truth is that soaking up gamma rays will kill you. So it’s about that juxtaposition of beauty and danger that we often find in nature."
One of five simultaneous limited release albums from the enigmatic British collective led by producer Inflo. Like Kendrick Lamar on "H.O.C.', sampled Mass Production's 1976 track "Galaxy" on this track "Free".
