John Lydon told Rolling Stone in 2018: "With “Rise,” I suppose it deals with the fact that we’re in opposition to jealousy. That’s one of the seven deadly sins. That’s what we deal with emotionally in all our songs, though, isn’t it?"
MC 900 Ft. Jesus also known as Mark Griffin is a Kentucky born, classically trained musician, turned rapper. The name MC 900 Ft Jesus came from a sermon by Oral Roberts, in which the televangelist claimed that he had received a vision of a 900-foot-tall Jesus, who commanded him to build a hospital on the campus of Oral Roberts University. This track samples James Brown's song "Get Up Offa That Thing".

"Situation" features a synthesizer hook by Vince Clarke (similar to the work he had done with his previous band, Depeche Mode), combined with the vocals of Alison Moyet. The song, and particularly Moyet's laughter heard in the introduction, has since been sampled in countless other songs, including the international novelty dance hit "Macarena." bit.ly
