MorMor is Seth Nyquist, the Toronto-based singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist and had this to say about his first release of the 2020: “Though I tried to continue writing [in March] it didn’t feel right. I was told I was being hard on myself, but I have always used music as a way of making sense of things. Suddenly there were just too many things to make sense of: A Global pandemic, the sudden lockdown, shortly followed by the protests. Voices were raised around the world because people have had enough. Mourning has become so painful that people are demanding changes. I felt I had to reflect that.”

It is rooted in storytelling and nostalgia – I want it to feel both universal and hyper specific.” --- “This is a song about self-discovery, self-acceptance and adolescence,” Parks explained about "Green Eyes", which features Clairo on backing vocals and guitar. “It is supposed to uplift and comfort those going through hard times”.: www.youtube.com

"Raised on reggae, soul, and hip-hop, Jorja Smith was encouraged to pursue music by her musician father. She started performing at the age of eight, shortly thereafter began writing original songs, and later earned a music scholarship. After she completed her studies, she made her recorded debut in 2016 with "Blue Lights," a hip-hop soul single inspired by racist police motives." Kevin Parker reveals, "Elephant is actually one of the oldest songs that I have, it's just been in the vaults this whole time. I'm not sure why we never recorded it before, but we were just playing it at a sound check one night and everyone in the band was like, 'We should just put this on the album', and so we did.'" He's also speaks of his surprise at how successful the track has become. "I always thought it was a bit shallow, a bit cringe. But now I appreciate Elephant, because the character I’m singing about, from the loners perspective... it’s how I always envisioned big, egotistical people who would march around. It’s kind of how a loner might see a jock - like an elephant." bit.ly
