The Australian band Pond just released this new album on March 1st, their eighth studio album. Tasmania has been called a "sister album" to the band's previous record, 2017's The Weather. In a statement, the band called the album a "dejected meditation on planetary discord, water, machismo, shame, blame and responsibility, love, blood and empire".

After some teasing on social media, they have now unveiled a new song, the hypnotic “Half Silences,” and an accompanying video. Fischerspooner is an electroclash duo and performance troupe formed in 1998 in New York City. The name is a combination of the founders' last names, Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner.
