The lyrics of "Violet" were inspired by Love's tumultuous relationship with Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan in 1990.
Several critics and scholars have noted parallels in the lyrics between Corgan as well as Love's late husband, Kurt Cobain. Wet Leg's album is finally out!!!!!
In the video for "Gold Soundz", directed by Scott Blen, the band members are dressed in Santa Claus suits as they cavort through various locations in and around Irvine, California. They go on a scavenger hunt, trying to find a chicken, which has a key to a car, which takes them to a hill next to a parking lot. Some of the members slide off, but still stay on the hill.

pen Mike Eagle has announced a new mixtape called Component System With The Auto Reverse, coming October 7 via his own label, Auto Reverse Records. Following 2020’s Anime, Trauma And Divorce, the Chicago rapper’s latest is, according to a press release, “part solo album and spiritual mixtape, part green room cipher, and part showcase for Eagle’s Auto Reverse Records.” It’ll feature his previously released collaborative single “Multi-Game Arcade Cabinet” with R.A.P. Fererria, Still Rift, and Video Dave, plus the late 2021 single “Burner Account” featuring Armand Hammer.
The debut album from this LA-based non-binary Korean-American artist (aka Abby Hwong) is a promising set of atmospheric dream-pop combining celestial synths, gently ringing guitars, piano, strings and more with soaring melodies and evocative lyrics revolving around identity, insecurity, alienation and self-affirmation.

Pizzicato Five was a Japanese pop band formed in Tokyo in 1979 by multi-instrumentalists Yasuharu Konishi and Keitarō Takanami. After some personnel changes in the late 1980s, the band gained international fame as a duo consisting of Konishi and vocalist Maki Nomiya.
