Deep Forest is a French musical group originally consisting of two French musicians, Michel Sanchez and Éric Mouquet.
The incredibly-talented, genre-defying singer and violinist Brittany Parks aka Sudan Archives is back with their latest creation - her new single ‘Home Maker’. Following up 2019’s Athena (as well as contributions on Yoko Ono cover album, Ocean Child, and benefit compilation, Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy), the funky new track arrives just in time for tour dates this spring.
Sudan Archives will be playing Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle on July 22nd!

"Hit" is Björk's attempt to write a love song, but her vision of love is not what you typically find in love songs. Speaking with Melody Maker in 1992, she said: "I tried. I really did. This 1992 song started with a tiny sample of a bass drum beat and snare beat from Jimmy "Bo" Horne's 1978 tune "Let Me (Let Me Be Your Lover)." Vocalist Rob Birch looped the sample and created the bass groove that holds "Connected" together.

Melody Pochet announced earlier this year a new Melody’s Echo Chamber record and the French pop-psych artist has just released their latest single leading up to its release, Personal Message. In a statement, Melody said of the new track: “The story is inspired by a place I lived by the sea in the south of France. When something disenchanting happened, I would take refuge near my house on the peninsula under the pines, a natural sanctuary where I sent wishes to the shore, I was soothed by its beauty. The song has this washed out wooden and salty vibe like a marine bird.”
The new album, Emotional Eternal, is out on April 29th.

Austin-based folk-rock duo Charlie Martin and WillTaylor, aka Hovvdy, are back with new single “everything” produced by Bon Iver and Big Thief collaborator Andrew Sarlo. Summed up in a statement, the new track is “ about having fun even when you miss the mark”.
Hovvdy will be playing the Crocodile on June 11th.
While writing this track, Donita Sparks was in her apartment in Echo Park trying to write lyrics to a cassette she had made. She was heartbroken at the time due to a recent breakup, and she says the first thing that came to her was, "I just pretend that you're dead." She did not mean it as wanting her former paramour to be dead but felt that the only way she could get through the breakup was to pretend he was dead. Then, immediately, in her mind, she thought "I'm not writing that. It's just not gonna happen. What about, "pretend we're dead"? I liked that because that was a children’s game. And then it became kind of a commentary on Reagan/Bush–era apathy."
