Kid A turned *twenty years old* in October! This track was the first one Thom Yorke wrote for Kid A, working from a new house near the cliffs of Cornwall.
The lyrics, “yesterday I woke up suckin a lemon,” refers to a sour disposition. The lyrics are relatively ambiguous, however, as most of Radiohead lyrics are. The line can also sound like, “Yesterday I woke up stuck in hollywood,” and Yorke has been known to blend the lyrics during live shows.

French hip-hop producer and musician, Jean-Christophe Le Saoût, also known as Wax Tailor has a new record out as of the 8th. His new record features from Mark Lanegan, as well as Del The Funky Homosapien and Mr. Lif.
“All you black folks, you must go/ All you Mexicans, you must go/ And all you poor folks, you must go," the group's leader Q-Tip practically croons. "Muslims and gays, boy, we hate your ways/ So all you bad folks, you must go.” Although Trump was definitely on Q-Tip’s mind, he says the decision to not name-check the incoming president was intentional. “We wanted to make [the song] more of an overarching premise and not an exact indictment of anything,” he says. “We just spoke to the people -- black, white, gay, poor -- and to different religions. British dream pop band Still Corners have released a new single called White Sands, which they described as being "a desert noir soundtrack in miniature. A classic ghost story about a phantom who roams the dunes and highways scaring would-be travellers." The Last Exit will be released on January 22nd on Wrecking Light Records.

Iska Dhaaf is a collaboration between Brooklyn-based duo Nathan Quiroga (Mad Rad, Buffalo Madonna) and Benjamin Verdoes (Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band). Tamara Lindeman said in a press release:"Trying to capture something of the slipping feeling I think we all feel, the feeling of dread, even in beautiful moments, even when you’re a little drunk on a sea cliff watching the sun go down while seabirds fly around you; that slipping feeling is still there, that feeling of dread, of knowing that everything you see is in peril. I feel like I spend half my life working on trying to stay positive. My whole generation does. But if you spend any time at all reading about the climate situation circa now, positivity and lightness are not fully available to you anymore; you have to find new ways to exist and to see, even just to watch the sunset. I tried to make the band just go crazy on this one, and they did. This is one where the music really makes me see the place in my mind; the flute and the guitar chasing each other, wheeling around like birds, the drums cliff like in their straightness; I love the band on this one.
