"Free Love" is the first album since Sylvan Esso founders Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn got married. It’s also the first one to feature both members on vocals and the first one recorded in the studio they built in the woods around their Durham, NC home base.
Unlike most Clash songs, which were written by Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, "The Guns Of Brixton" was written by bass player Paul Simonon, who decided to get in on the songwriting himself. It became one of the band's best-known songs and a staple of their live set. Simonon takes lead vocal duties on the song, which is about gangsters in his hometown of Brixton in South London.

“Strange Timez” marks the latest in the Song Machine series by Gorillaz with Robert Smith. 'Song Machine, Season One' will be released on October 23rd. The album is released as part of the Gorillaz Song Machine project, a collection of singles and music videos, dubbed "episodes" each featuring previously unannounced guests, and has incorporated a wide range of genres, thus far including punk rock, bossa nova, synth-pop, electronic, and downtempo.
The compilation will also include new collaborations alongside St. Vincent, Beck, Elton John, EarthGang and GoldLink.

Bicep is the Irish DJ duo of childhood friends Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar and they formed Bicep in 2009. The duo started with a blog about house and disco music, moved on to DJ sets, and have worked with artists including Jessie Ware on her recent album.
“We have strong mixed emotions, connected to growing up on an island,” McBriar and Andy Ferguson say of this record’s title. “Wanting to leave, wanting to return."

Despite quarantine, it's been a busy year for Sufjan Stevens. Earlier in 2020 he released the collaborative, instrumental album Aporia alongside his step-father Lowell Brams.
Stevens also shared the song "Video Game" and a video starring teenage dancer and choreographer Jalaiah Harmon. For those like myself who've been spending their quarantine scrolling through TikTok, you may recognize Harmon as the originator of the viral "Renegade" dance.
