West African musician Falle Nioke and British producer Ghost Culture combine on this new release.
Falle Nioke came to the UK three years ago, a musician with a deep sense of heritage but also an incredible sense of daring, with a grasp of the depth of possibilities creativity can bring.
Ghost Culture came into his orbit, and the pair seem able to interact on a profound level, with the results arriving this summer.

Psychedelic funk trio Khruangbin have just dropped their new album, Mordechai.
The new record was inspired by an encounter bassist Laura Lee had with a near-stranger. According to a statement, a man named Mordechai invited her to go hiking with his family to a distant waterfall. As she jumped into the water at Mordechai’s encouragement, she screamed her full name — Laura Lee Ochoa — in a moment she compared to a baptism. Her heritage reclaimed, the newly-rechristened Ochoa left the waterfall overflowing with words that went on to fill hundreds of notebook pages. The question was what to do with them.

About being in Japan for the first time, somewhere I’ve always wanted to go, and playing my music to people who want to hear it, feeling like I’m living someone else's life. I dissociate when bad things happen to me, but also when good things happen. It can feel like I’m performing what I think I’m supposed to be like.
