Barry White wrote "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Babe" when he fell in love in 1973 with Glodean James, who was one of the members of his Love Unlimited backing trio of singers. He wrote this song for her one night when he couldn't get off to sleep. Barry and Glodean married in October 1974 and for a time were one of the best known couples in showbiz. The pair separated in 1988 but never divorced and remained good friends for the remainder of White's life. - bit.ly

Founding member, Daddy G said about the making of the album: "It was Neneh Cherry who kicked our arses and got us in the studio. We recorded a lot at her house, in her baby's room. It stank for months and eventually we found a dirty diaper behind a radiator. I was still DJing, but what we were trying to do was create dance music for the head, rather than the feet. I think it's our freshest album, we were at our strongest then."

We’d spent plenty of time together previously. He’s toured with us and I’m a huge fans of his. He was an easy choice as a collaborator. The instrumental existed as a slow evolving throwback Detroit thing. I had people like Theo Parish and Moodyman in mind when I was making it. It’s been one of my favourites from the new album since day one."

Danger Mouse and Jemini are finally releasing their collaborative sophomore album, Born Again. Recorded between 2003 and 2004, the LP will drop on August 25 via Lex Records. The LP was indefinitely shelved, making its release nearly 20 years later the first time these songs will be heard.
Spotlighting 1989 hip-hop releases this week in celebration of 50 years of hip-hop.
