The first posthumous release from U-Roy, known as the "Godfather of dancehall," was released last Friday. Boasting features from artists including Shaggy, Santigold, and Ziggy Marley, who appears on album opener "Trenchtown Rock," the album was originally slated for release in 2020 after being recorded throughout 2019.

24-year old Alex Crossan, aka Mura Masa, demonstrates his production chops in a grunge-turned-techno remix of London up-and-comers PVA’s “Talks”.
Stripping all but the vocals, Crossan’s injects a rising synth loop and distorted percussive elements. Combined with Ella Harris’ grounded vocals, makes an infectious groove that belongs in a UK underground rave circa 1989.
In a statement, Crossan divulged:
"I’m a really big fan of PVA since hearing ‘Divine Intervention’, so when they very kindly let me hear their new music I jumped at the chance to put my own twist on Talks. I think they’ve got a very refreshing take on a very classic sound so I tried to do a similar thing with my remix."

"My songs were being 'synced' to things like the James Baldwin documentary I Am Not Your Negro. I started to learn more about Baldwin's life and artistry, and also really got into the work of Gordon Parks - his movies but also his photography around the Civil Rights Movement, his portraits of poor black families in the south. And when I started reading up on Fred Hampton of the Black Panthers, it helped unlock the lyrics to 'Hero,' which I'd be done a year earlier but couldn't get any further than the chorus.
