Woods is an American folk rock band from Brooklyn, New York, in 2005. The band consists of Jeremy Earl (vocals, guitar), Jarvis Taveniere (various instruments, production), Aaron Neveu (drums), Chuck Van Dyck (bass), and Kyle Forester (keyboards, sax). The band's former bassist, Kevin Morby, left the band in 2013.

Combo Chimbita is a quartet of first-generation New Yorkers whose backgrounds are Colombian and who grew up loving heavy metal, psychedelic funk and soul. Battling institutional sexism within the industry, Mazzotti’s recordings never reached the audience their sophistication deserved, and her career was tragically cut short as she lost her battle with cancer at just 37 years old.

UK art-rock band Dry Cleaning have recorded a cover of Grimes’ 2011 single “Oblivion” for 4AD’s new Bill & Aches & Blues covers compilation, which features 18 artists from the label’s current roster covering songs from throughout the 4AD discography.
Dry Cleaning announced their debut studio album New Long Leg last month with lead single “Strong Feelings.” The full-length follows a pair of EPs released in 2019: the Sweet Princess EP and Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks EP.
"Oblivion" is a song by Canadian singer Grimes from her third studio album, Visions (2012). It was released as a promotional single in 2012 by 4AD. The song is one of Grimes' most successful releases.
In an interview with Spin, she revealed that the song is about "going into this masculine world that is associated with sexual assault, but presented as something really welcoming and nice. The song's sort of about being—I was assaulted and I had a really hard time engaging in any types of relationship with men, because I was just so terrified of men for a while."
Little Dragon are a Swedish electronic music band from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 1996. The band consists of Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion), Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards).

NME dives deep into the evolution of the band since their beginnings in 2013, and one half of the duo Thomas McFarland noted that this album “feels like what we’ve always had in our heads. SAULT’s more obvious inspirations spring from musical styles of the 1970s, blending a rhythmic foundation of funk and Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat with disco, soul, and R&B. Not much is known about the elusive group, who’ve shunned press coverage and declined to volunteer their names.

The Tamlins are a Jamaican reggae vocal group formed in the late 1960s, known for rendition of Randy Newman's "Baltimore". The group originally comprised Carlton Smith, Junior Moore and Winston Morgan. They worked for several years with Peter Tosh, both on recordings an international tours, before parting ways with him in 1983. Morgan left the group the same year, to be replaced by Derrick Lara.
Nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Canadian by birth and now London-based, Jayda G has risen steadily and stealthily through the dance music underground with her infectious energy, vitality and boundless enthusiasm.

The Dutchess and the Duke was a folk band formed in Seattle, Washington, by singer-songwriters Jesse Lortz and Kimberly Morrison. Their first full-length album, She's the Dutchess, He's the Duke, was released in June 2008. The album was recorded on an 8-track with the vocals recorded at close range. The first track of the record, "Reservoir Park," was showcased in HBO's Entourage.

It was the first album recorded by the duo of Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger after leaving Kraftwerk in 1971.
