The title track and first single from MGMT's "Little Dark Age" album, the song was released on October 17, 2017. "We felt like we had reached a flow, it was the sort of chemistry, the kind of magic feeling we had when we started the band," the duo explained.

This is a new single from Brittany Howard's "What Now," co-produced in Nashville with Kacey Musgraves/SZA collaborator Shawn Everett. It's out on February 2nd, 2024.
--
Here’s how Brittany Howard describes the song:
"In my past relationships, I’ve had a tendency to see red flags as part of some parade just for me — something for me to run right through without paying any attention. To me, “Red Flags” sounds very dystopian, which makes sense for a song that feels like end-of-times as far as me emotionally maturing. It’s like a big tower fell and now I have to create something new."

---------------------------
Yeah Yeah Yeah's debut album Fever to Tell was born on April 29, 2003.
The band wanted to finance their debut album themselves and chose to record at the low-budget Headgear Studio in Brooklyn. "It was really important for us to do it on our turf, on our terms", lead singer Karen O later told Spin. "We were all living together, and all the money we used to fund it came out of our pocket."

Parisian artist Halo Maud is releasing "Celebrate" early next year.
"Halo Maud writes songs that touch, that grab hold, that astonish, that excite. And in two languages, introspective French and projectile English, which call and respond, which augment each other, endowing each song with two complementary hearts: one centripetal for soliloquy and solitary reverie, the other centrifugal for skill, friendship and fighting. Two languages as clear as can be, with counted words, with tiny steps, two languages that can tell the tale of a stream, a sisterly celebration, worldly patience, the intoxication of dancing."

As the legend goes, Kurt Cobain stopped by KCMU (what would become KEXP) after the release of Nirvana’s first 7-inch single, Love Buzz / Big Cheese. He personally handed over a copy to the station then sat in his car with his radio tuned in and waited to hear his song. When he didn’t hear it, he called in and requested the song himself. Originally recorded by Dutch band Shocking Blue in 1969. www.subpop.com
While Brainstory is in the studio finishing their sophomore full-length, they treat us to this bombshell of a 7” as a taste of what’s to come. They teamed back up with El Michels Affair who is handling production on the whole album and everything about this is leveled up. This show stopping plug & ballad two-sider is clear evidence of that.
Side A is an uplifting, dance floor burning, smash hit that shows what years of touring and backing Lady Wray have brought out of Brainstory. “Nobody But You” is built on drummer Eric Hagstrom’s crushing back beat that lays the foundation for this inspirational feel good banger that manages to take the uncomfortable truth that “nobody will save you but you” and turn it into pure blissful motivation.
Releases December 5, 2023

"Subways" samples "Warm Ride" by the Bee Gees, performed by Graham Bonnet, as well as "Black Water" by Patrick Simmons. The main vocals of the song are pulled from a 1980 song titled "Subways" by Chandra Oppenheim, who was 12 years old at the time of its release. She had not previously heard about The Avalanches until they approached her regarding the sample.
"Every Day Should Be a Holiday" comes off the Portland band's second album, "... The Dandy Warhols Come Down."

A critic wrote about this Ric Ocasek composition: "It’s a straight-ahead Rock song, and I especially dig the song’s intro, where it sounds like The Cars are channeling The Rolling Stones through guitarist Elliot Easton. Then, Ric Ocasek’s vocals come on and Greg Hawkes’ keyboards kick in, Benjamin Orr’s and David Robinson’s bass and drums never miss a beat, and it’s The Cars again…": foreveryoung80s.wordpress.com
