Rosalía and the Weeknd perform a steamy duet in the video for new song “La Fama.” It’s the first single from the Spanish singer’s upcoming new album, "Motomami," which is slated to arrive in 2022. On the new song, Rosalía experiments with Dominican bachata for the first time and sings about what a double-edged sword fame can be.
The Director X-directed clip is set in a dimly lit nightclub where actor Danny Trejo serves as the MC, enthusiastically introducing the performer of the night, La Fama (Fame in English). “She’s not for everyone, she will pierce your heart,” he warns. “And she will be your only obsession.” Rosalía saunters on stage while singing. The Weeknd and Rosalía lock eyes as she dances her way to his table and they flirtatiously trade verses in Spanish. Turns out, in the end, it’s best to heed Trejo’s advice.: www.youtube.com

Bonobo's new album, 'Fragments' is set to release in January 2022 and features the talents of artists like Jamila Woods, Kadha Bonet, and Joji. Woods said of her participation on "Tides":
"I connected with the track as soon as I heard it. It felt like rain and waves to me before I even knew the project had a theme of cycles and tides, so it all came together very organically.”

The song was written by Folk Implosion leader Lou Barlow and Orbit bassist Wally Gagel, who also produced the song.
It was released as a single in 1995, and was featured on the soundtrack to the Larry Clark film "Kids," but does not appear in the film itself.

The lyrics to 'Down by the Water' narrate the story of a woman drowning her daughter and reference the traditional American folk song "Salty Dog Blues" by Lead Belly.
The music video, directed by Maria Mochnacz, features a glamorous Harvey wearing a large wig, a look she dubbed "Joan Crawford on acid." Harvey said the exaggerated makeover reflected her love of dressing up and trying new styles, but she admitted to The Guardian, "There was confusion with myself at that time as to who or what I was, and it was a way of looking for answers."
She told MTV: "Making that video was very scary for me. I think it was most frightening because the wig was so heavy that when I went under the water, it really was hard to get to the surface again."

Charles Bradley, "The Screaming Eagle of Soul", lived from November 5, 1948 – September 23, 2017. After decades of marginal success, Bradley's entrance onto Daptone records in his 50's marked a newfound appreciation for the feel of funk and soul music from the 1960s and 1970s.
This recently released revue from 2014 sums up Daptone's legacy.
