Don Yates' mini review: "This Philadelphia band’s fifth album finds them moving away from their more zany, freewheeling beginnings in favor of a less busy, more focused and pop-oriented sound, while still retaining plenty of the band’s trademark energy, colorful instrumentation and eclectic genre-blending on a variety of imaginative prog-pop songs that are often as poignant as they are ear-catching."

No, the Spanish Castle was not in Spain. It was in Des Moines (or unincorporated King County at the time) on Highway 99 south of Seattle. A young Jimi used to walk there (with his guitar in a garbage bag to protect it from the rain) and ask to sit in on sets by artists like the the Wailers and the Dave Lewis Combo. Many of these bands cut him off or would ask him to quit soloing through their songs. bit.ly

Restored Footage From 1979, Iggy covers Sinatra: "Pat Ivers and Emily Armstrong recorded more than 300 hours of footage at CBGB, Mudd Clubb, and Danceteria, of performances by Iggy Pop, the Cramps, the Go-Go's, and many more. Most of the tapes somehow sat untouched in a closet until New York University restored them for the Nightclubbing archive." bit.ly Yes, the Nightclubbing Archive is a thing, it's actually just a small part of the New York University Downtown Collection. bit.ly
