The U-men formed in 1981 and consisted of John Bigley, Tom Price, Tony Ransom, and Charlie Ryan. Influential proto-grunge rock they influenced all sorts of future local and international acts. Bigley famously set the stage on fire during a set at the Seattle Center Mural Amphitheater. They finished their set amid the flames.
