Six years before Dev Hynes released his first record under the Blood Orange moniker, he played in short-lived dance-punk band Test Icicles.
In January of this year, Disclosure announced that they were in the process of recording their third studio album set for release in summer 2019. Since then six songs have been released.

Happy birthday to John Lennon! Here's a more obscure fun fact for y'all. Lennon wrote the White Album's closing track "Good Night". Several of the band members begged John to sing it because of how delicate he sang the song, but John insisted that Ringo has to be the one who sings it.

We lost a great one this year. Richard Swift worked with so many great acts. The Shins, The Black Keys, Damien Jurado, David Bazan, Foxygen, Jessie Baylin, Nathaniel Rateliff, Lucius, Lonnie Holley, The Mynabirds, Wake Owl, Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab, Gardens & Villa, Cayucas, and Guster.
Kevin Parker from Tame Impala stopped by Saturday Night Live over the weekend to play bass behind Travis Scott. Also in the live performance was John Mayer on guitar... Also worth mentioning that Kevin Parker's friends and collaborators in Pond are coming to Seattle on October 16th playing at The Neptune.

"Give Peace a Chance" is the first solo single by John Lennon, and despite that significance, the song was credited to Lennon and McCartney like their Beatles releases. Lennon later stated his regrets about being "guilty enough to give McCartney credit as co-writer on my first independent single instead of giving it to Yoko, who had actually written it with me." Happy birthday, John Lennon.
