'Encore' is the first album of new music from the band in 20 years. It also marks the return of original lead vocalist Terry Hall, who entered the studio with the band for the first time since 1981’s classic ‘Ghost Town’. Founding members Lynval Golding and Horace Panter are also involved, with drummer Kenrick Rowe and Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Cradock rounding out the line-up.
'Z' was the second highest rated album of 2005 according to Metacritic, behind Sufjan Stevens' Illinois; the album has a total score of 90 out of 100.

'Across The Borders' was self-produced and completely written by Júníus Meyvant. The richly orchestrated new record embraces a wide palette of sounds and is awash with soulful, charming melodies.
'Super Fly,' along with Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On,' was one of the pioneering soul concept albums, with its then-unique socially aware lyrics about poverty and drug abuse making the album stand out. Like 'What's Going On,' the album was a surprise hit that record executives felt had little chance at significant sales.

Celebrating the life of Tommy Ramone, born on this day 1949.
Tommy was the drummer on their first three albums, Ramones, Leave Home, and Rocket to Russia. He left the band in 1977 to concentrate on producing and was replaced on drums by Marc Bell, who took on the name Marky Ramone.
"Left of the Dial" is a reference to college radio stations which were usually on the left side of a radio dial. More than 20 years after the album's release, the song remains popular as a college radio anthem.
