Better Oblivion Community Center is the project of Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers. Oberst and Bridgers first met in 2016 when Bridgers performed at a secret showcase Oberst hosted at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. They collaborated on the duet 'Would You Rather' from Bridgers' 2017 debut album "Stranger in the Alps".

DJ Koze is a German producer and DJ. he first became known in the Hamburg music scene. In the early 1990s he started as a rapper and DJ for various hip-hop groups in Flensburg. Two years later, he moved to Hamburg and founded together with Cosmic DJ, DJ Stachy and the "Schreckliche Sven" the hip hop formation Fischmob, which persisted for about five years. The Replacements' music was influenced by rock artists such as the Rolling Stones, Faces, Big Star, Slade, Badfinger, Lou Reed and the Beatles as well as punk rock bands such as the Ramones, the New York Dolls, Dead Boys and the Clash. Unlike many of their underground contemporaries, the Replacements played "heart-on-the-sleeve" rock songs that combined Westerberg's "raw-throated adolescent howl" with self-deprecating lyrics. The Replacements were a notoriously wayward live act, often performing under the influence of alcohol and playing fragments of covers instead of their own material.

Happy Birthday to Scott Miller! (B. April 4, 1960- April 15, 2013) In Game Theory, Miller sang and wrote almost all of the material and the group became a college rock favorite. Although Game Theory garnered cult status, they failed to see commercial success since the lineup turned over so frequently.

Happy birthday Mike Starr! (b. April 4, 1966- March 8, 2011) Alice in Chains gained attention in the Seattle area and later signed a record deal with Columbia Records. They enjoyed extensive success in the grunge rock movement of the early 90's. Starr was with the group for the "Facelift" and "Dirt" albums and the "Sap" EP. Starr parted ways just as the band was achieving its greatest commercial success while touring for "Dirt" in 1993.

"Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?" was co-produced by singer-songwriter Cate Le Bon, Ben H. Allen (who had previously worked with the band on "Halcyon Digest" and "Fading Frontier"), Ben Etter (who worked as a studio assistant on "Fading Frontier") and the band itself.
The 12" single of the song is an extension of the album track. The extended section is based on the funky guitar line and contains much fuller instrumentation than the main track, including bass guitar, organ and horns. New lyrics are present from Prince, along with Jill Jones, that end with a humorous dialogue between a wife and her husband watching Prince on television
It was confirmed by Monáe after "Make Me Feel" was released that Prince, with whom she collaborated on her preceding album, had worked on the single, as well as the entire album, before his death in 2016. This was confirmed after listeners noticed similarities between the single's sound and the late musician's work. Monae stated in an interview with BBC Radio 1: "Prince was actually working on the album with me before he passed on to another frequency, and helped me come up with some sounds. And I really miss him, you know, it’s hard for me to talk about him. But I do miss him, and his spirit will never leave me."[14][15] The synth groove in "Make Me Feel", reported to be written by Prince, was played at one of his parties years prior to its inclusion in the single, as confirmed by Prince's DJ, Lenka Paris

Beginning with their debut album "Bleach" Nirvana became one of the most prominent bands in Seattle, and eventually, one of the most influential rock groups of all time. Their 1991 album "Nevermind" is nothing short of a landmark, not least because of its ability to bring punk music to the masses.

Ibibio Sound Machine's newest album "Doko mien" just dropped in March! Ibibio Sound Machine is a clash of African and electronic elements. The band claims their sound is inspired in equal measure by the golden era of West African funk and disco, modern post-punk, and electro.
The name of the band itself finds influence from Eno Williams' mother, whose native tongue was Ibibio. While Williams was born in London, she spent most of her childhood in Nigeria with the rest of her family. Her mother often recounted numerous folk and children's stories from her own heritage and passed them on to her daughter. Williams took this inspiration and crafted lyrics from these sources and married them to modern themes.

Filthy Friends is a rock supergroup based in Portland, Oregon. The band is fronted by Corin Tucker (of Sleater-Kinney) and guitarist Peter Buck (formerly of R.E.M. and Tired Pony). The other members of the band include alumni from bands such as the Minus 5, King Crimson, The Baseball Project and Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3. In February 2019, the band announced its second studio album, Emerald Valley, which is set for release on May 3.
