This LCD Soundsystem track, their first since 2017's "American Dream," plays during the closing of Noah Baumbach's film "White Noise." The movie is adapted from Don DeLillo's excellent academic satire novel of the same name, published in 1985. The sample in which a male voice is heard yelling "Can you dig it?" several times and the female voice at the beginning of the track saying "Let's get down to it, boppers..." were taken from the cult classic 1979 U.S. action film The Warriors.

Back in Black was recorded over seven weeks in the Bahamas in spring 1980. The area was hit by tropical storms at the time, making the sessions difficult at times. The album's all-black cover was designed as a "sign of mourning" for Bon Scott, who died in February of the same year, shortly before the band started recording the album. bit.ly

The song was written after the group's contract with record label EMI had been terminated on 6 January 1977 after only three months, following the publicity storm caused by their appearance on the Today program in December 1976.

In its earliest form, the song "Visa" sampled Elton John's song "Circle of Life" from the film The Lion King, but M.I.A. later announced via Periscope that she had replaced that particular sample with one from her own early single, "Galang," claiming that she had received legal threats and that if she used her own song, no one would be able to "stop it." bit.ly

Off the American violinist and singer’s second album, detailing her passages between her hometown of Cincinnati and her adopted city of Los Angeles.
