Cartel Madras explains that "WORKING" is "a queer party track, which pulls from our experiences as bad bitches in the music scene from the LGBTQ+ community." "The song is really about fear of the future, being anxious about what’s going to happen, not knowing if you’re going to be able to earn a living or not. It’s a really happy song, but one that represents being stressed out. The idea of “I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford an apartment any time soon, but hey, let’s dance and have fun!” That’s the concept behind it, and that’s what I was thinking about while writing the lyrics. I also thought about my parents, and everyone’s parents. They often have high expectations for you, or they want a certain lifestyle for you, and you don’t always agree with that. So you try so hard to do life your own way, but you’re super stressed out and you’re scared, and every now and then you think “Is it worth it?” In the end, I think it’s worth it."

“Strange Timez” marks the latest in the Song Machine series by Gorillaz with Robert Smith. 'Song Machine, Season One' will be released on October 23rd. The album is released as part of the Gorillaz Song Machine project, a collection of singles and music videos, dubbed "episodes" each featuring previously unannounced guests, and has incorporated a wide range of genres, thus far including punk rock, bossa nova, synth-pop, electronic, and downtempo. Protoje is a contemporary reggae singer and songwriter from Jamaica. His mother is Jamaican singer Lorna Bennett, best known for her 1972 rendition of "Breakfast in Bed," and his father is a former calypso king from the island nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mikayla Simpson, better known as Koffee, is a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter, rapper, deejay and guitarist from Spanish Town, Jamaica. She released her debut single "Burning" in 2017, and in 2019 signed with Columbia Records. Her 2019 EP Rapture won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, making Koffee the youngest person and only woman to be awarded in the Best Reggae Album category. Currently, she is said to be working with Nick Ballis and Rihanna. bit.ly
