Written by Bjork herself, the lyrics are inspired by the presence of love in the advent of spring, and Norse mythology's Ragnarök. The more popular version of the track, the original mix solely produced by Björk, was used in the accompanying music video, but did not appear on the album. The accompanying music video for the single was directed by Chris Cunningham and depicts the assembling of a robot with Björk's features, and her passionately kissing another robot in front of an ethereal and sterile backdrop. The song's visual garnered acclaim from critics and is commonly regarded as one of the best music videos of all time and a milestone in computer animation. The subject of much analysis and scrutiny, it was on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and has been included in various art exhibitions. Björk has performed 'All Is Full of Love' in five of her tours, with the most recent being the Vulnicura Tour. Charli XCX's self-isolation album ‘how i’m feeling now’ will be released this Friday. She told DIY the track, "i finally understand," “explores the feeling of everything falling into place and realising the strength of your emotions”.

The new track is Glass Animals' first release since 2019's "Tokyo Drifting" -- itself a continuation of the band's ongoing "Fresh Fruit" experimental series of collaborative releases with the likes of Joey Bada$$ and Denzel Curry. “I think we’ve all found ourselves in messed up relationships that make us feel sad and helpless," Bayley said in a statement. "Not necessarily something romantic -- maybe it’s with a family member or a friend. A relationship that we know on some level is going to keep breaking our hearts. We let that person back into their lives over and over again, even though it always ends the same. Maybe you don’t confront it because you hope it’ll change with time. Or because it’s easier to let it slide and never set boundaries. Maybe you think you deserve that unhappiness. Or maybe you find some strange comfort in the chaos.”

Sleaford Mods are an English electronic punk music duo formed in 2007 in Nottingham. The band features vocalist Jason Williamson and, since 2012, musician Andrew Fearn. Sleaford Mods have been knocking around and singing about austerity-era Britain since 2007, but they took off stateside in 2017 with the release of English Tapas, their Rough Trade debut. They left the label to self-release 2019’s Eton Alive, but returned earlier this year for All That Glue. That album will feature a mix of fan-favorite tracks, plus previously unreleased songs, B-sides and other rarities. “Although All That Glue works as a fan piece, it’s also a solid representation of what Sleaford Mods is,” Williamson says. “It contains not only unreleased material but also stuff like ‘Jobseeker,’ ‘Jolly Fucker’ and ‘Routine Dean,’ tracks that are storming live favorites. We never take these tunes out of the set and it’s crazy you can’t listen to them anywhere, apart from YouTube. It would have been good to play them to a new audience.”
Australian post punk band, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever said their new track, "Falling Thunder" is about, "pushing on through the relentless march of time, against the constant cycle of seasons. And the way people change and relationships change. It’s set in that time when autumn is turning into winter and the trees are getting bare."

Singer Grian Chatten has described the self-titled new single as “a list of rules for the self” as well as “principles for self-prescribed happiness that can often hang by a thread. “It’s ostensibly a positive message, but with repetition comes different meanings, that’s what happens to mantras when you test them over and over,” Chatten explains. “There’s this balance between sincerity and insincerity as the song goes on and you see that in the music video as well. The idea was influenced by a lot of the advertising I was seeing – the repetitive nature of these uplifting messages that take on a surreal and scary feel the more you see them.” The new video features 'Game of Thrones' actor Aidan Gillen www.youtube.com
Released on this day in 1996...All Set is the fifth studio album by Buzzcocks. After standardising their line-up of vocalists and guitarists Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle, bassist Tony Barber, and drummer Phil Barker for the band's previous album Trade Test Transmissions (1993), the band's first record since their reunion in 1989, the band toured relentlessly which inspired the band–especially Shelley–to create a new album. Hiring longtime punk rock producer Neil King to produce and engineer All Set, the band recorded in Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California, a studio where then-huge pop punk bands like Green Day, to whom Buzzcocks had been a big influence, had recently recorded music engineered by King.

Simz’s previous album had been born out of dark times and, likewise, on ‘Drop 6’ the 26-year-old tries to find a silver lining in challenging times; the resulting record itself a time capsule of lockdown life – a rough-edged release that includes much of the push and pull between introspection, catharsis and careful optimism that we all know too well in these isolated times. It also has a palpable sense of freedom to it, with quarantine allowing artists greater room to experiment consequence-free.

His solo musical career began in earnest with Rei Momo (1989), which drew on Afro-Latin styles; other solo releases include Uh-Oh (1992), Feelings (1997), and Grown Backwards (2004). In addition, he collaborated with Eno again on the gospel-inspired Everything That Happens Will Happen Today (2008) and with singer-songwriter St. Vincent on Love This Giant (2012).
