After 17 years as the frontwoman of the Gossip, ‘Fake Sugar’, is Ditto's first full-length release as a solo artist. Ditto has said she spent two years writing nearly 80 songs for the album, with her main collaborator songwriter and producer Jennifer Decilveo.

Formed in 1991, Portishead are considered one of the pioneers of trip hop. The Bristol band is named after a town eight miles west of Bristol, along the coast. Portishead consists of Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons and Adrian Utley, while sometimes citing a fourth member, Dave McDonald, an engineer on their first records.
