School of Seven Bells recently dropped their final album "SVIIB" after one of their founding members, Benjamin Curtis passed away. The group initially formed as a trio after Benjamin Curtis met Alejandra and Claudia Deheza when his band, Secret Machines shared a bill with the twin sisters' On!Air!Library! as openers for Interpol. Trans Am began in 1990 and didn't seriously record until 1995 because they were busy focusing their college studies. Their obsessions with science fiction and robotic rock created their vehicle, Trans Am.

James Atkins, bassist of Seattle's Hammerbox passed away yesterday from cancer at age 49. According to a press release, Atkins passed away "surrounded by friends and his favorite music, including AC/DC, Motörhead, Soul Asylum, and The Replacements," according to a press release. In the 80s, Hammerbox formed and cultivated a mass following in Seattle and released their self-titled record in 1991.
