[But] it's also that childhood, sexy feeling of having a crush on someone, where you don't really understand what's happening. ... I always liked the older, kind of bitchy girls in my neighborhood, who used to leave me out of things. I wanted to be them, or be like them, or make out with them — I didn't really know. For me, a third record should feel bombastic and so I wanted to pull out all the stops for this one. I wrote "Be Sweet" with Jack Tatum from Wild Nothing a few years ago. I’ve been holding onto it for so long and am so excited to finally put it out there.”
'Jubilee' is out June 4 via Dead Oceans and Zauner will release her memoir 'Crying in H Mart' on April 20.

The mysterious Swedish electronic music sibling duo the Knife released this from their second studio album ‘Deep Cuts,’ but still kept a low profile. Bandcamp wrote that, “even after their 2002 single “Heartbeats” and 2006 album Silent Shout earned them widespread acclaim, they gave few interviews and played few concerts. When they did appear publicly, they wore masks that obscured most of their faces and preferred to perform in relative darkness.”

Four years after the release of their Grammy-nominated album Ayo , Colombian star duo Bomba Estéreo are finally ready to show us what they’ve been cooking up all this time. Coming out in spring, Deja was mostly self-produced and recorded in Santa Marta with a group of likeminded collaborators in 2020 during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s all about finding a balance between technology and the natural world.
Conceptually, the album is divided into four sections represented by the Earth’s four elements, to give us a sense of balance. "It’s about how we’re disconnected, more connected to electronic devices and virtual things than real things," says Saumet on a press release. "So we decided to use the four elements, because they’re part of the equilibrium of human beings." bit.ly
