Natasha Kahn, aka Bat For Lashes, says she found inspiration for the Haunted Man from the "down time" she took after touring for her second album- which included working on dance films, writing a script, children’s book illustrations, a spell of volunteer gardening and going back to Brighton University for some informal tutorials with her old art teacher and reading recommended books. One of these, ‘The Enchantment of Art’ provided a small epiphany and planted a seed of change in her approach to what was to become The Haunted Man.

As rock & roll began to dominate the landscape of popular music at the dawn of the 1960s, Brubeck enjoyed some of his greatest commercial and critical success, expanding the audience for jazz and making it hip with young adults and college students. David Warren Brubeck was born in Concord, California on December 6, 1920 and passed away yesterday in Norwalk, Connecticut.
