Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters has contributed a song to an upcoming benefit album for 826 National. The album features artists covering songs written by one of the volunteers for the 826 in Valencia. The album will be released on Dec. 9th and will benefit 826 which provides resources and opportunities for under-resourced students to improve their writing skills. Mark just made his song available via soundcloud yesterday and it can be downloaded here: soundcloud.com

This year marked 30 years of The Flaming Lips being a band. Earlier this week they confirmed that they will be releasing a cover album of The Stone Roses self titled debut. As well, they will release a joint EP with Tame Impala on which each band will cover the other band's songs. www.flaminglips.com
Caspian are currently touring behind this new album. Their next show will take place in Nashville, Tennessee tomorrow night. They will embark on a European tour in mid January. www.facebook.com

Tomorrow during the Morning Show there will be a ticket give for the Arcade Fire show taking place at the Gorge on Fri. Aug. 8th.
